In our laboratory, applications of fluid mechanics to airplane and space vehicle are investigated using computatitonal fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel experiments. Major research topics are aerodynamics and aerothermodynamics of space vehicles, design of small / slow flying vehicles, development of fluid actuators for flow control, and numerical methods for CFD analyses. Collaboration with foreign universities and JAXA are active.
