Recent advances in pattern recognition and computer vision have made image recognition techniques familiar in our daily life. Face detection, object recognition, and image retrieval are applications of such techniques. These techniques are highly dependent on machine learning. Our goal is to develop novel learning methods for improved image recognition and understanding.
