Motion capture is an effective tool for archiving artistic human motions. Our research group has archived 3-dimensional motion data obtained using professional dancers and has been developing useful tools for dance education and creation. This laboratory has recently been working on human animation, computer graphics, virtual reality, user interfaces, and the application of these technologies to systems for exploring traditional culture.
