The emergence of antibiotic resistant bacteria is one of great concern from the point of microbial safety. Bacteria that can survive in the presence of antibiotics have been isolated from river, sewage and/or discharges from WWTP and studied their properties. Recovery of resources with or without microorganisms has also studies in this laboratory.
