My research explores the long-term relationships between body, environment, and social organization from an anthropological and historical perspective. Focusing on hunter-gatherer and pastoral societies, I investigate human adaptive strategies through subsistence patterns, physical activity, diet, ritual practices, and embodied performance.
Drawing on studies of the Hadza, San peoples, and Amazonian indigenous communities, my work connects anthropology with archaeology, biomedicine, and performance studies to develop an integrated understanding of human biological and cultural evolution.
